Iran a Major Exporter of Nuts

More than 132,200 tons of different kinds of nuts worth over $351 million were exported from Iran during the first four months of the current fiscal year (March 21-July 22), registering a nearly 9% rise in weight and 19% fall in value compared with last year’s corresponding period.  This was announced by the head of Nut Exporters Union citing figures released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration.
Mohammad Hassan Shamsfard added that Iran ranks third in the exports of dates and raisins, and second in pistachio exports, Mizan Online reported.
