Bushehr Province

Bushehr Province (Persian: استان بوشهر‎, Ostān-e Būshehr ) is one of the 31 provinces of Iran. It is in the south of the country, with a long coastline onto the Persian Gulf. Its center is Bandar-e-Bushehr, the provincial capital. The province has nine counties: Bushehr, Dashtestan, Dashti, Dayyer, Deylam, Jam, Kangan, Ganaveh and Tangestan.

In 2005, the province had a population of approximately 816,115 people.
The main product of this  province is date  and in 89-90 the product  is  about 172742 ton  consisting 17/2 percent of country's  total date production.
This  province  ranking the  first among other  provinces in date packing  industry .
The volume of export  in the first quarter of 1391 was about US$18,700 and the volume of  import  was  about US $1 billion.
Products including types of fish, date ,white cement, vegetable seeds, gypsum , thyme ,cereal, dill seed, mosaic, lucerne  are exported to  countries such as Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, South Korea, UAE, China.

Despite its unique potentials, Bushehr remains to be developed for absorbing tourists and seriously lacks the necessary investment for tourism. The city of Bushehr has 3-star hotels, an airport, and modern amenities. The Cultural heritage Organization of Iran lists up to 45 sites of historical and cultural significance in the province.
